This is my new homepage. I'm just new on the net, so I am still working on my homepage. First of all I would like to tell something about myself: I'm a student of Human Geography on the University of Holland. I love travelling and finding out about all kinds of different people. Last year I went to Romania for a month with one of my best friends, Marieke. It was the best holiday in my life. I'll search for material about Romania to put on my website, because I fell in love with this country. Further I want to give you an impression of student life in Utrecht. This year I organized an introductionweek for Socrates students who came to study in Utrecht for half a year at my Faculty. I did this for EGEA, the European Geography Association. We try to build a network of young geographers, it is very cool. The Annual Congress this year will be organized by our entity, so check out the news about it on my website. I'm also member of Biton, an nice and small student association in Utrecht. This is the place to go when I'm fed up with my study. It the place for relaxation. And no, this is not one of those creepy student association you hear about in the newspapers. The only purpose of this association is to make everybody feel at home. I'm living in a studenthouse in De Bilt, a small village near Utrecht. It is only 15-20 minutes to the centre of Utrecht by bike, and 10 minutes to "De Uithof", the University area of Utrecht. It is a house with four female students. Lately we decided to make a homepage. For the meantime, my homepage will do! Who are those four female students? Where are they about? Why are they so strange an mysterious? Here's a description: Suzanne: Suzanne is 18 years old. She studies General Languages . She only lives here a few months now, but she surely made a change in our house! She talks a lot and loves cosyness. She's the one who bumps in your room with tea ans cookies all the time. She's a member of ORKA, a row club. She the tallest of us (1.85 m) and also the thinnest. E-mail her: [email protected] Sanne: Sanne was the first person to move in in September 1997. She is 21 and studies Fysiotherapy, but that's not her main activity. That is UMTC, a small and old-fashioned student association. Right there she's head of the barstaff. She sleeps a lot and is the most chaotic person of us.E-mail her :[email protected] Marrit: She's 21 and does Human Geography, just like me. She asked me to come and live in the "het Kwartet" after I made a paper with her. Last summer she broke up with her boyfriend. They were together for 3 years, so she had some trouble finding balance in her live again. Fortunately she's doing well, and is enjoying life again. Still she wants to move to Leiden, because she hates Utrecht and it's associations. E-mail her: [email protected] Me: (see above). I'm 19 and live in "het Kwartet" a year now. I was the third to move in. My room is quite small at the northside of the house, but I like it. We want to put some recent stories about our live on the Internet.
